Dee Dee Kinsey – Administrative Assistant – Calhoun County

March 12, 2021

Dee Dee Kinsey is the Calhoun county Administrative Assistant and has been with  Clemson Extension for 13 years. She previously worked at the Orangeburg County Magistrates office, where she was in charge of Criminal and Civil processing and the monthly dockets for ten years. She then went to South State Bank, where she worked as a Mortgage Loan Processor for three years. She left there and went to SC State Credit Union, where she started as a teller—later promoted to head teller and eventually to Customer Service Representative and Loan Officer. She worked at SCSCU for seven years before applying to Clemson Extension.

Dee Dee would say her area of expertise would be customer service. She has always done her best to treat people with respect and kindness. I want everyone to have a good experience when calling or visiting the Calhoun office. Her Extension duties include but are not limited to packaging and processing samples to the Ag Service Lab, Plant Problem & Nematode Clinic. She receipts money coming into the office, makes deposits, and handles all financial reporting.

Her favorite part of the job would be working with the staff at the Calhoun County office. She loves the people she works with, and having a great relationship with co-workers makes her job enjoyable daily. She has learned so much from Charles Davis, and couldn’t imagine the office without him in it. Dee Dee’s most memorable experience would be going out into the field with Charles Davis and seeing how he sprays the peanuts to check the maturity. He took her around the County to see the different areas he worked and told her who farms each field—giving her a better insight into each farmer that comes into the office that they service.

Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service offers its programs to people of all ages, regardless of race, color, gender, religion, national origin, disability, political beliefs, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital or family status and is an equal opportunity employer
