Lisa Terry – Administrative Assistant – Hampton County

March 17, 2021

Lisa Terry is the Administrative Assistant in Hampton County. She has been working for Clemson Extension for 14 ½ years. She grew up locally, graduating from Wade Hampton High School and the University of South Carolina – Salkehatchie Campus with an Associate in Science. Before joining Clemson Extension, she worked in the accounting department at a local manufacturing company for 11 years. Lisa is a “people person” and believes that is her strength. She loves her clients and takes pride in serving them. When clients visit or call the office, she does her absolute best to locate the answer to their questions, whether it be through an agent or by providing them with information that she has available.
She feels that her role at Clemson Extension is to serve. Serving the citizens of Hampton County and all citizens throughout the state to the best of her ability is her goal. If you haven’t already figured out the favorite part of her job, it’s the people.
She enjoys working with her clients, as well as her co-workers. Clemson Extension is a wonderful organization. There have been many great memories in the past 14 years, but her favorite memory is a person, former Agriculture Agent Tommy Walker, who left us way too soon. Tommy was peculiar, opinionated, and set in his ways, but he was one of the most brilliant people she ever had the pleasure of working with, and he would give you the shirt of his back. Although she only had the privilege of knowing Tommy for around five years, she often thinks he would be like today if he were still with us.

Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service offers its programs to people of all ages, regardless of race, color, gender, religion, national origin, disability, political beliefs, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital or family status and is an equal opportunity employer
