Meghan Barkley has been the Beaufort County 4-H Youth Development Agent since July 2018. She attended West Virginia University and worked in marketing for small businesses after college before moving to Beaufort. She is currently a master’s student at Clemson University, studying youth development leadership. As a 4-H agent, Meghan gets to dabble in multiple areas while working towards positive youth development. Some of her favorite county programs include agriculture, STEM, natural resources, and leadership. As a 4-H agent, she facilitates youth programming, including school enrichment, 4-H projects, and camping programs. Meghan’s most memorable experience was attending the State Fair for the first time and her first experience chaperoning Congress at Clemson University.
