Samantha Porzelt (sporzel@clemson.edu) is a Water Resources Extension Agent for Clemson University. She serves Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester counties. She joined the University in 2021 after 8 years of working as a biologist in non-profit public aquariums. As part of her role with Extension, she co-coordinates the Ashley Cooper Stormwater Education Consortium. She also serves as the course coordinator for Clemson Extension’s Master Rain Gardener program. Her professional interests include utilizing native plants to manage stormwater and support wildlife on residential and public properties. Samantha has served as a board member of the South Carolina Native Plant Society since 2021. She is currently pursuing a master’s in Wildlife and Fisheries Resources through Clemson University.
