I\u2019m passionate about the power of water, not just as a resource, but as a force that shapes our communities. Previously, she was a marine educator at Newfound Harbor Marine Institute in the Florida Keys and a marine education coordinator for the S.C. He serves as coordinator of Extension\u2019s state-wide Post-Construction BMP Inspector program, which trains individuals in methods and strategies for conducting routine and thorough inspections of stormwater management practices. Steven also serves as coordinator of Extension\u2019s Carolina Clear program in Anderson County, SC, where he partners with local communities to provide stormwater education, outreach, and public involvement opportunities to protect water resources. Steven is a certified freshwater monitoring trainer for the SC Adopt-a-Stream program, and he\u00a0currently serves as Treasurer for the SC Association of Natural Resource Extension Professionals. (T.J.) Savereno (<a href=\"mailto:asavere@clemson.edu\">asavere@clemson.edu<\/a>) is a Senior Extension Agent with Clemson University, specializing in wildlife and forestry. He has worked for Clemson University since 2003, previously as an Extension Associate at Clemson\u2019s Pee Dee Research and Education Center, and now at the Lee County Extension office in Bishopville, SC. In addition to Lee County, T.J. is responsible for Marlboro, Darlington, Florence, Dillon, and Clarendon Counties, and he frequently travels around the state in response to landowner requests. T.J. assists these landowners with questions regarding natural resource management in general, but his special interests include restoration and management of the longleaf pine ecosystem, groundcover management in forest ecosystems, the importance of early successional habitat for wildlife, creating wildlife habitat in urban and suburban landscapes, invasive plant species control, promotion of the use of prescribed fire, and integrating wildlife management with forestry and agricultural systems.<\/p>\n<p>T.J. received his B.S. in Biology from Fairmont State University in his birth state of West Virginia and his M.S. in Wildlife Biology from Clemson University. He is past president of the SC Vegetation Management Association and current chairman of the SC Prescribed Fire Council. T.J. is also vice-chair of the SC State Advisory Committee of County Forestry Boards, and a member of the SC NRCS State Technical Committee, the SC Quail Council Technical Committee and is on the advisory committees of the Sewee Longleaf Conservation Cooperative, the SC Association of County Agricultural Agents, and the SC Association of Natural Resource Extension Professionals.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Anthony J.
