The scholarships support both academic goals and Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) projects. Here are this year\u2019s recipients:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Region 1: Amberlyn Christenbury<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Amberlyn, President of Crescent FFA Chapter, has competed in Livestock, Meat Evaluation, Tool ID, and other CDEs. She is also involved in Anderson County 4-H and the Farm Bureau. Her SAE involves raising crossbred Angus cattle and farm management at LYN Farms. Amberlyn plans to pursue Agricultural Communications with a focus on youth leadership programs. Congratulations to Amberlyn!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Region 2: MacKenzie Glover<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>MacKenzie, President of WJ Keenan FFA, has led numerous community service events and competed in the State Agricultural Education CDE. Outside FFA, she is active in her school\u2019s soccer team, Math Honor Society, and Robotics team. Her SAE focuses on helping Pawmetto Lifeline with a feral cat catch-and-release program. MacKenzie plans to study Agricultural Science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Region 3: Brooklyn Hill<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Brooklyn, President of Conway FFA, has organized key chapter activities like the Voter Registration program and FFA Freshman Orientation. She has competed in Forestry, Parliamentary Procedure, and Tool ID. Her SAE involves teaching agricultural lessons to younger students and managing greenhouse projects. Brooklyn plans to study Agricultural Education at Clemson University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Region 4: Anabelle Creech<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Anabelle, President of Pelion FFA, has competed in Greenhand Creed, Soils, and Poultry. Her SAE involves working at County Spring Equestrian Center, where she teaches equine showmanship and assists with barn management. Anabelle plans to attend Clemson University to study Animal and Veterinary Sciences, aiming to become a large animal veterinarian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thank you to the South Carolina Association of Fairs for supporting these young leaders in agriculture. Aynor has a wonderful facility that maximizes student engagement and offerings. The pageant was held at Lander University in the Abney Cultural Center and began at 7 pm. The Contestants were judged on their applications,<br \/>interviews, and evening gowns. From their scores, ten contestants were selected as semi-finalists and then had to answer an on-stage question. From this group, five finalists were selected, and a New Miss FFA was crowned. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ag South sponsored $500, Livingstons bulldogs,<br \/>Chow Chows, and Yorkshire Terriers sponsored $500 and WK Timber Corporation $100 provided the sponsorships to award a $1,000 scholarship.
