Information Visualization with Gephi Workshop (optional info sessions on May 1, 2020)

April 30, 2020

The Clemson Data Visualization Lab is pleased to announce the first Information Visualization with Gephi workshop.

Gephi (https://gephi.org/) is a free and open-source software that allows for exploratory data analysis, link analysis, and visualization of networks. This workshop will cover how to:

  • Use Gephi software to visualize different graphs and networks and combine them together.
  • Use statistical tools to analyze graph properties such as its connectivityclustering of networks, and studying directed graphs.
  • Create high-quality rendering images from graphs and networks.

This is asynchronous training, where you can go over the instructional materials at your own pace. Instructions are available at https://sites.google.com/g.clemson.edu/vizlab/information-visualization-with-gephi

There will be two optional Q&A sessions for those who have any questions or technical issues with the software.  If you cannot make any of the information sessions, but have questions you can email the facilitator, Mehrdad Yousefi (yousefi@clemson.edu).

Q&A Session 1: Friday, May 1, 10:00 AM-11:00 AM Eastern Time https://clemson.zoom.us/j/93997645157

Q&A Session 2: Friday, May 1, 1:00 PM-2:00 PM Eastern Time https://clemson.zoom.us/j/94046895771

This workshop is suitable for all Clemson students, staff, and faculty, specifically those who are interested in exploring and visualizing data associations and network structures. There is no need for prior experience to attend the workshop.
