Name: Daniella Lopez

Hometown: Miami, Florida

Major: Parks, Recreation, & Tourism Management, Emphasis- Travel & Tourism          Minor: Psychology

Favorite place for lunch on campus or in town: Your Pie, I’m always down for a good slice of pizza!

Favorite spot on campus: Chick-Fil-A- They have the best food and music playing there all the time. I can get my homework done in a booth and see my friends walk by and say hi.

Favorite question on a tour: Why did you pick Clemson over Miami? I wanted to make an impact on my campus and find my community. There is truly no place like Clemson, and that does sound cliché, but I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. The academics are great, sport teams excel, I can get involved in different organizations I am passionate about, and the Clemson Family has a special meaning. I have had some of my best memories here, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I always believe the philosophy, “Everything happens for a reason” and Clemson has helped me find my “Why” in life and I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else.

Clubs and Organizations you are involved in on campus:  CONNECTIONS, Welcome Week Leader, U-NITES Student Advisory Board, Women’s Club Rugby, Black Student Union, NAACP

Hobbies: Working Out, Dancing, Baking, and Watching the Sunrise/Sunset

Advice for jumping into college life: Dive into what you are passionate about and try everything!! Your first year you want to see what everyone has to offer and explore different ideas. That’s what I did my freshmen year, and I was able to join a lot of clubs, see what fit best for me and grow into leadership positions within the organization.

Advice on how to choose a college: Do your research!! Figure out what you want to get out of your college experience and which college can provide those features for you. You want to make sure you get out what you’re putting in and enjoying your time here. And obviously take a tour J

Fun fact about yourself: I can do the worm backwards!
