Name: Hope McMullen
Hometown: Chicago, Illinois
Majors: Spanish & International Business, Marketing
Favorite place for lunch (on campus or in town): Pot Belly Deli is my all-time favorite, Loose Change is a close second.
Favorite spot on campus: I love to sit outside Core Starbucks on a nice day and study because you always run into everyone you know!
Favorite question on a tour: “Why did you choose Clemson?” I never give the same answer; there are a million reasons why this place is the best place to call home.
Clubs and Organizations you are involved in on campus: Student Alumni Council, Greek Life, FeelGood Club, Academic Success Center Student Advisory Board
Advice on how to jump into college: Put yourself out there! Meeting new friends and getting involved made me feel much more comfortable initially, and are still my favorite things about Clemson.
Advice on how to choose a college: Pay attention to how you feel when you are touring a school. All of the statistics about a school are definitely important to consider, but it’s just as (if not more) important to find the place that will make you happy!
Favorite Clemson Tradition: Homecoming week on Bowman. I toured on Homecoming weekend and got to see all of the completed floats and then experienced an entirely different Homecoming week the following year, when I got to help work on a float! It’s a week of so much happiness and school spirit 🙂
