Then, jump into something new that you\u2019ve always wanted to do or that sounds exciting to you! College is an opportunity to learn and grow in new ways, and I think you might be surprised by what you gain from trying new things!<\/span><\/p>\n Advice on how to choose a college:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Choose a place that you want to last you more than just 4 years! My tour guide emphasized the importance of our Alumni support and how influential those connections have been to students post-graduation. I saw how much school pride there was in the student’s majors, athletics and all of the support geared towards student success. Clemson is a very special place and there truly is “Something in these Hills.”<\/p>\n Clubs and Organizations you\u00a0are involved in:<\/strong>\u00a0FCA, Kappa Delta sorority, student assistant and desk worker for general engineering, The Hills Retreat<\/p>\n Hobbies:<\/strong>\u00a0Horseback riding, walking the dikes, dancing like no one is watching and being outside with friends.<\/p>\n Advice for jumping into college life:<\/strong>\u00a0Take in every moment.\u00a0 College is a very special time in life that helps you define who you want to be. Do things you are passionate about and get to know as many people as possible. Say yes to as much as possible and live a balanced life between your academics and your social life. I\u2019ve met some of the best people and had some of the best experiences just by saying \u201cyes\u201d to daunting opportunities. Also, college is about learning a lot but also living life as well. Make sure to invest in your personal growth just as much as you invest in your academic growth.<\/p>\r\n Advice on How to Choose a College:<\/strong>\u00a0You will get a good education wherever you go, but make sure you find a school with the people that make you feel valued and a community that makes you feel supported. I met some of my best friends there and some of my most favorite Clemson memories on the 3rd floor!<\/p> Clubs and Organizations you\u00a0are involved in:<\/strong>\u00a0Clemson Miracle, Student Nurses Association, FCA and RUF, Intramural Sports and the Clemson University Guide Association<\/p> Hobbies:<\/strong>\u00a0I really enjoy baking, watching movies, volleyball and hanging out with friends and family!<\/p> Advice for jumping into college life:<\/strong>\u00a0I would say step out of your comfort zone! I know that the transition from high school to college can be scary, but I promise, everyone feels the same way you do.\u00a0 So, get involved with some new things, and meet as many people as you can when you get to campus. College is an amazing experience, and you only get one go at it, so make the most of it!<\/p> Advice on how to choose a college:<\/strong>\u00a0My biggest piece of advice would be to trust your gut. You know yourself better than anyone else does, so don’t let other people’s opinions sway your decision. I truly became best friends with my whole hall and still hang out with them even as a 2nd semester junior!
