Recent Master of Professional Accountancy graduate Melody Goldberg of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, embraced the many opportunities Clemson had to offer. Her experiences in academics, leadership and campus involvement built a strong foundation for a career in accounting.
During her time at Clemson, Goldberg built a well-rounded experience through Beta Alpha Psi, Clemson Swim Club, Gamma Phi Beta and Clemson Symphony Orchestra. These experiences helped her grow as a student, leader and teammate while strengthening her professional skills and connections with faculty and peers. She served on Beta Alpha Psi’s executive board, working closely with Professor Philo, studied abroad in Rome with Professor Ledbetter and attended the Beta Alpha Psi National Annual Conference in Orlando.
One of Goldberg’s most meaningful experiences came through Clemson Engineers for Developing Communities, where she worked on an aquaculture business implementation project supporting the development of a Haitian-owned fish feed production facility. Contributing to a sustainable, community-centered initiative was especially meaningful to her, challenging her to step outside her comfort zone while reinforcing the importance of service, adaptability and gratitude.
Goldberg also gained valuable professional experience through an audit internship with Forvis Mazars in Greenville, where she worked with the banking and financial services team. The internship allowed her to apply classroom learning while building confidence, technical skills and teamwork. She credits both her analytical mindset and her grandfather, a CPA and manufacturing controller, with inspiring her to pursue a career in accounting.
After graduating in August 2026, Goldberg is beginning her full-time career with Forvis Mazars as an audit associate in Greenville, taking the next step in her professional journey.
