B-Note June 7, 2018

Greetings fellow Tigers!

The 2018 Clemson baseball season ended on Sunday with a 47-16 record– the most wins for the team since 2006. The season may not have come to the end that our team had hoped for, but they had a very successful season – one that the team and Clemson fans should all be proud of. Our team set many records throughout the season, and our Clemson family set a school record this season for home attendance with an average of 4,985 fans per game. Go Tigers!

We are looking forward to inducting the Class of 1968 Golden Tigers and welcoming many of our alumni back to Clemson for the 2018 Golden Tiger Reunion. The annual event celebrating the 50th anniversary class as well as classes that have been previously inducted will be held today and tomorrow at the Madren Conference Center.

In the latest issue of Clemson World, Kelley Freund describes how Clemson is working to solve a global problem – how to help provide the world sustainable energy that is clean, efficient, scalable and portable. With veteran faculty who are leaders among their fields and the brightest graduate students, Clemson is finding solutions. In the article, several Clemson researchers are highlighted who are exploring where to store power, other sources of power, how to make this energy more efficient and how to create cost-effective technology to provide power. B- the difference!

Campus is noticeably quieter since most of the students have left for the summer. But we can still hear the sounds of construction around campus, reminding us of what lies ahead for Clemson. Your support to Clemson is making a profound difference for our University, our students and the world.

If you haven’t done so, please make your annual gift to Clemson before June 30 – the end of our fiscal year. You can make your gift by linking to our giving website. When you make your annual gift, you will receive a free lapel pin.

Go Tigers!
