B-Note: Fiscal year fundraising results

Greetings, fellow Tigers!

It was an extraordinary year marked by extraordinary circumstances. But the resilience of the Clemson Tigers is unmatched, and our fundraising results from the fiscal year are a testament to that. I am honored to share with you that for the fourth consecutive year, Clemson has eclipsed $150 million in fundraising with a total of nearly $158.5 million for the 2019-2020 fiscal year (July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020).

$158,494,135 Total and Total number of donors 35,260

Of the total, more than $100 million was in cash, pledges and in-kind gifts, and 40 planned gifts totaled nearly $18 million. IPTAY support set a record of more than $68 million. Overall, 35,260 members of the Clemson family contributed 89,820 gifts. I am forever amazed by your dedication and determination to support our University and move us forward. Your contributions make a significant difference, and I am excited to celebrate Clemson’s many accomplishments with you. Because of your generosity, Clemson is celebrating:

-80 new scholarships and fellowships.

-68 new endowments.

-16.39% alumni participation.

-$3 million in unrestricted gifts.

-26 gifts above $1 million each.

68 New endowments created, 80 new scholarships and fellowships created, $3 million unrestricted dollars, 16.39 percent alumni participation, 26 gifts of $1 million plus, 89,820 total number of gifts

These numbers prove how devoted the Clemson Family is to our philanthropic efforts, but they also demonstrate our commitment to one another – especially when faced with difficult times.
