Clemson Hosts Its first InVenture Prize Competition Posted on May 24, 2016 by Jenny Bourne John Cullen Schlageter, a Packaging Science student, won the competition with a pitch for a replacement for styrofoam in cold chain packaging. He accepted the award from Dr. John DesJardins, Clemson’s Pathways to Innovation Program team leader. He and University Innovation Fellow and Bioengineering Ph.D. student Bre Przestrzelski worked to design the campus event, raise prize funds and fill the auditorium with students for the first Clemson InVenture Prize.
