We are pleased to present the AY’27 SCEEES Distinguished Lecture Series featuring prominent leaders in academia. These distinguished leaders will present lectures at the Watt Family Innovation Center with seminars scheduled in Fall ’26.
Robert L. Bertini, P.E. will deliver a distinguished lecture on September 21, 2026. Dr. Bertini is Professor and Head of the Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering at The University of Alabama. He also serves as the Chief Transportation Science Research and Development Officer for the Alabama Transportation Institute. His primary research area is transportation.
Karl Linden is a Distinguished Professor, Associate Director of the Mortenson Center in Global Engineering, and the Department Chair of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder. His primary research interests lie in the area of water treatment, wastewater treatment, disinfection, and advanced oxidation. He will deliver his distinguished lecture on November 20, 2026.
