Do you have 5 minutes in a class this week to devote to student voter registration, voter education, and/or voter turnout?

We have a resource for you!

The Scholar Strategy Network has created a “Faculty Guide to Student Voting in Your Classroom.” These guides provide easy-to-deploy resources for talking to students about voting. Because coronavirus has made it difficult to hold voter drives and face-to-face programming on a number of campuses, right now faculty are sometimes the only people with whom college students engage.

In South Carolina, the last day to register to vote in person is this Friday (October 2). The last day to register online is Sunday (October 4). The last day to register by mail is Monday (October 5), with a postmarked paper ballot….and since this is the only way our out-of-state students can register in South Carolina, this date is crucial!

Please consider using the SSN resources – or other resources described in this blog – in your classroom this week. Reach out to Clemson Votes via Bridget Trogden (Trogden@Clemson.edu) or Kate Radford (Radford@Clemson.edu) if you have questions or want to talk further.
