Environmental Engineering and Earth Sciences was well represented by three Environmental Engineering graduate students at The American Center for Life Cycle Assessment (ACLCA) 2024 annual conference which was held in Snowbird, Utah from September 23 to 26. This year’s conference focused on advancing Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) for Sustainable Development. The conference attracted more than 400 attendees from North America and Europe, including professionals from industry, academia, government, consulting, and non-governmental organizations. At the conference, Ph.D. candidate Hao Chen presented on the Energy Demand and Environmental Impact of Carbon Fiber Manufacturing, while Ph.D. candidate Muzan Ijeoma presented on the LCA of an Innovative Wood Floor System Designed for Carbon Storage and Future Adaptability. The group is advised by Dr. Mik Carbajales-Dale.
