PhD Student Peruski Receives Hitachi Fellowship

Congratulations to Kathryn Peruski on being selected for the Hitachi High Technologies Electron Microscopy Graduate Fellowship Award. This is a $20,000 non-renewable one-year award to a Clemson graduate student utilizing electron microscopy. Kathryn is a PhD student in Environmental Engineering and Earth Sciences working with Dr. Brian Powell, and she has used the microscopes to capture the miniscule fragmenting of neptunium. Kathryn was honored at an awards ceremony on September 28 at the Madren Center. You can read more about the award in the Clemson Newsstand article.
