This project will assess rare aquatic insect species (belonging to groups such as dragonflies, mayflies, caddisflies, and stoneflies) to determine conservation status, distribution, and recovery needs post-Helene. It will identify critical populations, threats, recovery actions, and potential re-introduction strategies. Results will support broader efforts to restore watersheds damaged by the storm.
