This project will target rare species that require specialized habitats including terrestrial snails and salamanders, such as the green salamander. Field surveys and remote sensing technology will be used to assess changes in habitat and population connectivity caused by Hurricane Helene. The findings of this project will help design targeted and effective habitat and population recovery actions for these species.
