The University’s faculty and staff are encouraged to visit the Policy and Procedure Online Library to become familiar of recent changes and updates to employee policies. Since June 26, 2018, a total of 23 human resources and University policies have been updated, reformatted and/or consolidated. This major Clemson University project was initiated to promote compliance through the improved understanding and awareness of the University’s policies and procedures.
Policies of Note:
- A revised Compensation Policy was updated and consolidated these former policies:
- Compensation,
- Equal Pay Provision
- Bonus Program
- Life Science Bonus Program
- A new Classification and Personnel Actions Policy replaced the following policies:
- Classification Plan
- Categories of Positions
- Promotions
- Reassignments and Transfers
- Temporary Classification
- Reclassification
- Three Conflict of Interest policies were created.
- The Drug and Alcohol Policy and the Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy and Guidelines were revised.
- The Emergency Closing Policy and its companion procedures were revised.
- Two leave policies (Grant Personal Leave Policy and Unauthorized Absence Policy) were revised.
- The Personal Communication Services Policy was updated.
- The Reporting Child Abuse or Neglect Policy was created.
- The Separation from Employment Policy was revised.
- The Undergraduate Student Employment Pay Scale Policy was updated and revised.
- The University-Required Training Policy was created.
