CCIT will host an Accessible Website Developer Workshop on Monday, Nov. 7, from 3 to 4 p.m. in the Academic Success Center, room 118. This presentation is open to any and all developers of website content at Clemson University. Dan Lewis, CCIT’s Accessibility expert, will present.
The workshop will start with basics, discussing accessibility best practices to resolve issues that prevent assistive technology from interacting with web content. Code examples will demonstrate how accessibility issues and their resolution impact screen reader users.
Key points will include understanding the basics of web accessibility evaluation, learning how to correct common accessibility issues and recognizing the importance of human evaluation beyond automated tools.
