Clemson to celebrate Pride Week April 10-16

#PrideWeek is back for 2016 and it is bigger and better than before. A collaboration of 11 different organizations or offices, the week-long series features a range of events— including trainings, volunteerism, fundraising, solidarity, history, literature, and fun! There is something for everyone during #PrideWeek16. All of our events are free and open to both Clemson affiliates and the local community.

Below is a list of events:

      • Sunday, April 10 | 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. | Brunch for Change! Hendrix Student Center**
      • Sunday, April 10 | 2 p.m. | Out of the Darkness Campus Walk, Jervey Meadows
      • Monday, Wednesday, & Friday | History of Pride Display, Cooper Library Brown Room
      • Tuesday, April 12 | 7-9 p.m. | Open Mic Night, All-In Coffee Shop
      • Wednesday, April 13 | 12:30-1:30 p.m .| Supporting LGBTQ Survivors of Sexual Assault, Cooper Library Brown Room
      • Thursday, April 14 | 10 a.m.-2 p.m. | Lost-n-Found Youth Letter Writing Campaign, Hendrix Student Center, University Union, Residence Halls
      • Thursday, April 14 |  5:30 p.m. | Queer Writing in the South, Daniel 217
      • Thursday, April 14 | 7:30 p.m. | Common Read Book Discussion, Daniel 411**
      • Friday, April 15 | 12:30 p.m. | Ally Training, Tillman / Old Main Hall 319**

The #PrideWeek committee has chosen the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention as our charity for the week. As such, we have a team participating in the Out of the Darkness Campus Walk on April 10th. Anyone is welcome to join the team, even if they can’t participate in the walk.
