Electrical outages planned during holiday break

There will be brief electrical outages in various campus buildings from Saturday, Dec. 20, to Wednesday Dec. 31.

University Utilities is working on replacing portions of old and damaged underground distribution cable and distribution switches over the winter break. To make these repairs and upgrades, several buildings and services will have to go without power at various times as work progresses.

The following buildings/services will be affected:

  • Academic Success Center
  • Lever Hall
  • Alumni Center
  • Long Hall (portions at a time)
  • Barre Street warehouse
  • Manning
  • Botanical Gardens
  • Mell Hall
  • Bowen
  • National Dropout Prevention Center
  • Brackett Hall
  • Norris
  • Bradley
  • Olin Hall
  • Byrnes Hall
  • President’s Home
  • Calhoun Courts
  • Redfern
  • Calhoun Mansion
  • Schilletter
  • Campbell Museum
  • Sikes Hall
  • East Campus Laundry
  • Simpson N&S
  • Edwards
  • Sirrine Hall
  • Facilities
  • Smith Hall
  • Fernow Street Café
  • Thornhill Commons
  • Fire Station
  • Thornhill Village
  • Godfrey Hall
  • Tillman Hall

  • Traffic Lights on Highway 93 at Sikes Hall and College Avenue and at Perimeter Road and Highway 76

  • Clemson House will have a 10-second outage Monday, Dec. 29.
