Five women to receive Outstanding Women Awards

The President’s Commission on the Status of Women will present Clemson University Outstanding Women Awards to five women March 28.

The awards were created to recognize those who have made outstanding contributions to improving the status of women at Clemson.

The recipients are:

  • Dr. Sez Atamturktur (Faculty), associate professor in the Glenn Department of Civil Engineering;
  • Dr. Lori Pindar (Staff), associate director of undergraduate studies, department of communication studies;
  • Sarah Rowlinson (Graduate Student), bioengineering Ph.D. candidate;
  • Janay Crosland (Undergraduate Student), early childhood education; and
  • Katherine Schwennsen (Distinguished Contributor), director of the School of Architecture.
