Green Zone Training scheduled for Nov. 17

The Center for Career and Professional Development and the Clemson Student Veterans Association are teaming up to host another Green Zone Training from 1-4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17 in the Student Senate Chambers (Edgar A. Brown University Union).  This training is designed for Clemson University faculty, staff and students. Nick Paschvoss, assistant director of Career Development and Sam Wigley, president of the Clemson Student Veterans Association, will facilitate the training.

The process of transitioning from the military to civilian life can pose challenges for all veterans. Green Zone Training is designed to support and empower student veterans at Clemson University. The training provides a safe space for student veterans and active service members. Faculty, staff and students can better serve this population of students through awareness of the challenges a student veteran might face when attending college.  The training also shares information on resources available for this underrepresented population.

Attendees will leave this training with an informational packet supplied with community resources and a Green Zone sticker, which signifies the completion of the training. Those who complete the training should display the sticker in their offices.
