HEAD ON celebrates Clemson faculty, staff, students, alumni

By Jackie Todd, Office of Media Relations

Clemson is addressing important issues HEAD ON. That’s the message of a university initiative designed to bring recognition to Clemson faculty, staff, students and alumni through weekly profiles, ads, and internal and external publications.

“The contributions of Clemson’s faculty, staff, students and alumni have propelled the university into the national spotlight,” said Cathy Sams, chief public affairs officer. “Those featured will represent the many who make Clemson University stand tall across the state and the nation.”

The initiative will kick off next week. As part of the program, you’ll see familiar faces in statewide business publications, as well as the Chronicle of Higher Education, Inside Higher Education and Diverse Issues in Higher Education.

Inside NOW, the Echo and the university’s Social Media channels will feature HEAD ON participants each week. Participants will also featured in campus digital signage, in campus dining halls and in ad materials during Clemson football games.

The HEAD ON initiative ties into Clemson’s 2020 Road Map goals, which seek to:

  • Enhance student quality and performance
  • Provide engagement and leadership opportunities for all students
  • Attract, retain and reward top people
  • Build to compete — facilities, infrastructure and technology
