Inside Clemson

The Laramie Project and LGBTQ Teach-In Nov. 18-22

The Laramie Project, a play about the reaction to the murder of gay student Matthew Shepard in 1998, will be coming to the Brooks Center Nov 18-22.  The President’s LGBTQ task force is organizing a series of events that week to help raise awareness of LGBTQ issues on campus. The task force is asking all faculty to consider devoting a portion of their class time that week to LGBTQ issues as well as to encourage their students to attend the play and associated activities.

If you have questions about the week’s events, contact the head of the task force, Joshua Morgan (jmorga3@clemson.edu).  Meredith McCarroll in English (mmccarr@clemson.edu) has long taught about LGBTQ issues and is willing to help with teaching questions.
