Need an intern? UPIC accepting mentor applications

The University Professional Internship & Co-Op (UPIC) program is now accepting applications from departments for summer 2015 and fall 2015 semester internship experiences. Do you need additional help in your office or department? Do you have interesting projects or assignments that would provide a professional experience for a Clemson student? Do you have a current UPIC intern you’d like to bring back next semester? The UPIC program provides student intern assistance in university offices, 50 percent matching funding for the intern’s salary, and mentored professional development to Clemson students.

The deadline for all departments to submit summer and fall 2015 internship proposals is Feb. 20 and applications received after the deadline will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis until the 50 percent payroll matching funds are exhausted. Student engagement is one of Clemson University’s four areas of investment for its 2020 Road Map. The on-campus internship initiative is a vital part of the creation of a campus culture in which students participate in meaningful and relevant developmental experiences.
