Presidential Colloquium: Ethics leader to discuss excellence in research

Lisa M. Lee, Ph.D., MA, MS will present the talk “The Ethics of Excellence in Research” at 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 22 in the Strom Thurmond Institute. Lee’s talk is part of the 2016 Presidential Colloquium with the theme “Rigor, Rights and Responsibility in Research.”

Lee is the executive director of the Presidential Commission for the Study of Bioethical Issues. She is an epidemiologist and public health ethicist. She serves on the Executive Board of Association for Practical and Professional Ethics and is an Adjunct Professor at the Center for Biomedical Ethics Education & Research at Albany Medical College, where she teaches ethics.

Lee is the recipient of the 2014 Pellegrino Medal for excellence in bioethics. Click here for more information.
