Inside Clemson

Registration open for Ally training

Spring Ally Training registration is now open! Ally Training is Clemson’s version of Safe Zone training that you may have encountered on other campuses. The training is intended to make Clemson a more welcoming and inclusive place for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning [LGBTQ] students, faculty, and staff. Ally Training aims to increase awareness and understanding of LGBTQ issues and to train anyone who is interested to stand with, and advocate for, LGBTQ people. Whether or not you identify within the community, we would love to see you at our session.

Session Dates are:
-Sunday, Jan. 17
-Friday, Feb. 12
-Friday, April 1
-Friday, April 15

If you have previously attended Ally Training, please consider attending the refresher course. This course provides up-to-date LGBTQ terms and definitions and reviews strategies for implementing allyship and solidarity with LGBTQ people in your workplace. This session will be held Friday, March 4 and lasts two hours.
