SSC training available to faculty and staff academic advisors

Clemson has joined Educational Advisory Board’s (EAB) Student Success Collaborative (SSC).  At more than 150 institutions across the country, faculty and staff academic advisors are utilizing the SSC to positively impact their undergraduate student success and advising outcomes.  Features of the SSC include advising toolkits, best practices research, and an online advising platform.  Use of the advising platform allows Clemson faculty and staff academic advisors to access real-time academic performance data and trends for their current advisees so that advising sessions can be informed by data.  Further, it allows academic advisors to conduct outreach to selected student populations.  Access to the platform was initially piloted with academic advisors in nursing, genetics, biochemistry, general engineering, mechanical engineering, pre-business, biology and chemistry and is now available to all academic advisors.  One-hour training sessions have been scheduled for any academic advisor who is interested in learning more about how to utilize the SSC advising platform.  All training sessions will be held in 234 ASC.
