Update: Benefitfocus for Clemson faculty and staff

The Office of Human Resources recently announced the August launch of Benefitfocus—a benefits management platform for Clemson faculty and staff. Benefitfocus provides a personalized portal from which users can access, update and enroll in employee benefits. Faculty and staff will be able to quickly access detailed and up-to-date information on their specific benefits from their computer, tablet or mobile device at any time.

Faculty and staff will be able to access their Benefitfocus online profile on their phones, tablets and desktops.

“This is a powerful new tool for our faculty and staff,” said Lisa Gagnon, Clemson’s director of workforce benefits and well-being. “Benefitfocus does an excellent job of detangling sometimes complicated benefits information to make transactions clear and easy for users.” A Clemson test group shared similar opinions of the new platform. “It’s helpful to have all the information laid out like this,” said one tester. “It shows all my benefits with plan details like coverage level and who’s covered—and I can print it all out with a click.” Another tester praised the platform’s intuitive benefits enrollment process: “The way it took me through each decision step-by-step made things really easy.”

In addition to enhanced access to personalized benefits information, faculty and staff can also expect expanded customer support available online.

Benefitfocus will be a welcome addition to the start of the fall academic term.
