The Watt Family Innovation Center invites all university faculty and staff members to an open house event from 4 to 5:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 5.

Visitors will tour the Center’s newest innovation spaces and interact with Watt Center staff to learn more about research initiatives, academic spaces and student innovation opportunities. Tours will begin at 4 p.m. and will depart every 15 minutes from the Service Desk, located on the first floor in the Atrium. The final tour group will depart at 5:15 p.m.

“The Watt Center has grown dramatically since opening in 2016,” said Executive Director Todd Marek. “We’ve added a wide array of research initiatives and hands-on student innovation opportunities. The Watt Center continues to be a central hub for collaboration, and we look forward to sharing these updates and new initiatives with our campus community.”

As a special bonus, this event will also showcase the newest addition to the Watt Center, the fourth floor and rooftop terrace.

Light refreshments will be served. The Watt Center is located at 405 S. Palmetto Blvd., behind Cooper Library and the Academic Success Center.
