Inside Clemson

Weekly stress management classes offered March 26-April 23

Students from Clemson’s Recreational Therapy Program, in partnership with the Joseph F. Sullivan Center, will be offering a five-week, stress management program for university employees.

The free program will provide resources and strategies for reducing stress inside and outside the workplace. The 60-minute classes will meet on Wednesdays from March 26-April 23 at 12 noon at the Hendrix Center (room to be determined).

“Our students are excited to work with employees to reduce stress and improve coping skills,” said Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management faculty member Lynne Cory, who is leading the students’ involvement in the project. She added that the need for such a program stemmed from surveys conducted at last fall’s Clemson University Employee Benefits Fair.

To enroll or for more information, email Lynne Cory at cory2@clemson.edu. Space is limited and provided on a first-come, first-served basis, and no change of clothes or shoes is necessary to participate.

Clemson’s Recreational Therapy Program is part of the Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management, and the Joseph F. Sullivan Center is a nurse-managed health center that serves Clemson employees and underserved communities while giving students supervised clinical experiences.
