Todd Barnette named associate vice president and chief facilities officer

Tony Wagner, the executive vice president of finance and operations announced Todd Barnette as Clemson University’s next associate vice president and chief facilities officer. According to the Office of Human Resources’ lead recruiter, Mary Boyles, Barnette led a large pool of candidates during the nationwide search.

As interim in the position for the past several years, Barnette leveraged ways to improve service to the campus and made significant strides to build partnerships across campus and across the City of Clemson. Barnette’s efforts to establish increased communication was key to major construction efforts conducted by the University, including construction related to Douthit Hills and the College of Business.

Barnette has served the University since his original hire in 1998. The chair of the search committee and Chief Financial Officer Steve Crump, says “Todd’s encyclopedic knowledge of Clemson’s facilities and the respect and admiration he has for his staff were abundantly clear to the search committee.”
