Charles V. Privette, Jr., Professor Emeritus of Agricultural and Biological Engineering and Cooperative Extension, died Feb. 19, 2020.

Privette received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Agricultural Engineering from Clemson University. He was employed by the Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service for 27 years where he was instrumental in the development of irrigation for farming throughout South Carolina. Prior to joining Clemson University, he served his Country in the US Army as a Second Lieutenant in Alaska.

Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 23, 2020 at Pendleton United Methodist Church, and burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:15 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, 2020 in the Palmer Social Hall at Pendleton United Methodist Church.
