David “Earle” Goodman, retiree – Feb. 8, 2016

David Goodman, 80, of Columbia died on Feb 8, 2016. After a tour of duty in which he served as Second Lieutenant, Dr. David “Earle” Goodman returned to Clemson University as a Field Veterinarian, as a large animal practitioner and diagnostician. He established the Large Animal Academy in South Carolina, and was named Veterinarian of the Year in 1973 by the South Carolina Association of Veterinarians. He retired with over 30 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, two daughters, son, friends and family.

A funeral service was held Feb. 12 at the Shiloh United Methodist Church, Lynchburg, South Carolina.
