Dr. Dewitt T. Gooden III, 73, of Florence, died April 16. He was a professor and extension agronomist in the department of Crop & Soil Environmental Sciences, who retired in 2003. He was rehired back into a temporary position and served Clemson for 35 years.
He is survived by his wife, his daughter and his family.
Funeral services were held April 19 at John Calvin Presbyterian Church in Florence.
