Haylon Card, 31, died on Saturday, December 19. He was a senior mechanical engineering major from Spartanburg, South Carolina and a peer-assisted learning (PAL) leader in Clemson’s Academic Success Center.
“Haylon was an inspiration to all who knew him,” said Interim Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students L. Christopher Miller. “While we are saddened by his death, we take comfort in knowing the impact he made on the Clemson University community. Please continue to have his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.”
The family will be burying Haylon’s ashes and planting a tree in his memory at noon Saturday, April 17, at 150 Christopher Road, Shelby, North Carolina 28152-8208.
