John Mott Jr., of Bishopville, died May 30, 2016. Mott served in the U.S. Army until 1958 before he became an area country extension agent for Lee, Kershaw, Sumter and Berkeley Counties. He retired in 1988 with 28 plus years of service.
Mott is survived by his son, daughter, family and friends.
A funeral service was held June 4 at the New Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church.
