Malcolm Russell Fersner, 81, of Orangeburg died Oct 17, 2018. He was a field specialist with the department of Livestock and Poultry Health. He retired in 2000 with 31 years of service but was rehired back into a regular part time position and actively employed until his death, giving him 48 years of service to the university.
Fersner is survived by his wife, three children, and family and friends.
Funeral services were held Oct. 20, 2018.
