Margit M. Sinka, 76, died in Berlin, Germany on Oct. 28, 2018. She was a professor of German in the languages department and a renowned scholar of film. Sinka retired in 2007 with 33 years of service, but continued to work part-time after she retired.
Her vivacious spirit, intellectual generosity, nurturing attention, and power to inspire curiosity and critical thinking have made and will continue to make a life-altering impact on many. Her friends, colleagues and former students said that she will be greatly missed.
Sinka’s memorial service will take place 2 p.m. Dec. 1, 2018 at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Clemson, 226 Pendleton Road, Clemson.
