Victoria Mattison, 20, died May 22, 2019. She was a junior sports communication major from Mauldin. Mattison was a proud member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. A natural talent in video production, she worked in the spring semester as a video intern in the Division of Inclusion and Equity and participated in projects for the Erwin Center for Brand Communications. In the fall 2018 semester, Mattison artfully shared the stories of the University’s faculty and staff as a video intern for Inside Clemson.
Mattison is survived by her parents, brother, family and friends.
“We were shocked to learn of Victoria’s passing,” said Associate Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students L. Christopher Miller. She was a joy to all those who knew her. The Clemson community sends thoughts and prayers to her family as they grieve this loss.”
Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is providing grief counseling. Students who want to speak to a counselor should contact CAPS at 864-656-2451.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 28 at Valleybrook Outreach Baptist Church, 8323 Augusta Road, Pelzer, SC.
