Employee Shout-Outs – February 17, 2026

Victoria Barrett, Grants Coordinator

Victoria gave me great support and advice as I put together my NIH MIRA proposal. The grant was due on 1/27, but since we knew of the impending weather, we worked to get it submitted the week before. A real professional!” – Ken Marcus, Professor of Chemistry

Emily Elizabeth Cotton, Assistant Director, Rutland Institute for Ethics

Emily Elizabeth Cotton is a ROCK STAR! She advises one of the most vibrant student organizations on campus (CHANGE) and is an often-requested presenter on ethical leadership and ethical decision-making in various colleges across campus. The Institute’s advisory board holds her in high regard, as does the students she comes in contact with.

As if that was not enough, she maintains many of the business functions in our office with continuity and detail. Emily Elizabeth gives herself selflessly in so many ways. The Rutland Institute for Ethics simply would not be as successful as it is without her tireless efforts. Just know that your supervisor appreciates you to the highest! – William McCoy, Director, Rutland Institute for Ethics

University Facilities

A massive thank you to all the Facilities employees who came in during the ice storm to ensure that our campus stayed safe and accessible. You are the true heroes behind the scenes, working tirelessly in difficult conditions to keep us safe. We are all so grateful for your commitment and professionalism—thank you for keeping our campus running!” – Anonymous

Enrolled Student Services Records and Registration Team

I appreciate the prompt response to multiple requests for transcripts that are time sensitive for scholarship submissions. The team is always helpful and we are very appreciative.” – Vicky Norbert, Administrative Assistant, Office of Major Fellowships
