Wallace Dabney Trevillian Merit Award, Ben Dority

Ben Dority

The Wallace Dabney Trevillian Merit Award is given in honor of the late Dr. Wallace D. Trevillian, Dean Emeritus of the College. A senior with one of the highest scholastic records in the College is selected based on their outstanding character and leadership involvement in student organizations. 

Throughout his time at Clemson, Ben served Clemson as President of the IPTAY Student Advisory Board. Ben is actively looking for opportunities in marketing or sales following his graduation.

Outstanding Undergraduate Research, Faith Aldridge

Faith Aldridge

A cash award and certificate are presented to a student who has completed the most meritorious undergraduate research project of the year.  Projects have been evaluated regarding the significance of their research question, the elegance of their method and design, and the clarity of the written presentation. 


In June, Faith will begin her Master of Marketing Research at The University of Georgia. After graduate school, she hopes to work in marketing research.

Marketing Department Awards

The Marketing Department Annual Award for General Marketing, Anne Horton, Katherine Sahd, and Hunter Stokes

This Annual Award is given to three seniors who have excelled in academics and leadership, have shown a willingness to complete important tasks on behalf of the department, and exhibit the positive attitude and passion that are necessary for those who want to excel in the field of Marketing.

This August, Anne will be moving to Prague to work with Cru (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ) doing high school and college campus ministry.

After obtaining her Clemson degree, Katherine plans to attend the University of Georgia’s Master of Marketing Research program. 

After graduation, Hunter plans to work for T. Rowe Price as an Internal Sales Associate in their U.S. Intermediaries Division.

The Marketing Department Annual Award for Sports Marketing, Ashleigh Anne Binz, Ceara Cronin

The Annual Award for Sports Marketing is presented to two students who are concentrating in sports marketing and have excelled in both academics and leadership.  These students have participated in events related to sports marketing and community service.  They exhibit the positive attitude and passion that are necessary for those who want to work in the industry.

Ashleigh Anne is currently in the post-grad job application process but wants to pursue an opportunity with an NFL team in corporate sponsorships or community relations.

Ceara is currently searching for jobs in the sports industry, ideally in marketing, social media, or sales, and hopefully in the Boston area.

The Marketing Department Annual Award for Research, Joel Viola and Kerrigan White

This Annual Award for Research is given to two seniors who have shown potential for a career in research as evidenced by their academic achievement, independent work on research projects with faculty, demonstrated excellence in research-related coursework, and faculty recommendation.

Upon graduation in May, Joel will be working for Kantar, a global market research, data analytics, and consultancy agency, in New York City as part of their 2024 Brand Analyst Cohort.

Following graduation in May, Kerrigan will be attending the University of Georgia, where she will pursue a Master’s of Marketing Research.

Sales Innovation Program Students of the Year, Joshiah Franz and Courtney Sage

Awarded to two seniors who have shown the potential to become great salespeople, as evidenced by participation and academic achievement in their sales classes. This award goes to students who have taken the courses necessary to obtain their Sales Certificate in Marketing.

After graduation, Josiah plans to work in medical device sales with Stryker Orthopedics.

Courtney plans to be working as a Sales Development Representative at Otis Elevator, in Jacksonville, FL.
