Hongseok Choi of Clemson University is the winner of an award that recognizes his three-year effort to connect engineering students with manufacturers across South Carolina. The international professional engineering society SME has selected Choi for a 2016 Distinguished Faculty Advisor Award.

Mohammed Daqaq of Clemson University is the winner of an award that recognizes the research he has done to develop “energy harvesters,” a new technology that could play a key role in helping monitor bridges for cracks and other signs of strain.
