– Interests focus on multiscale modeling and simulation of active soft materials with adaptive functionality

GILBERT ROBINSON MEMORIAL FELLOWSHIP

In honor of Dr. Gilbert C. Robinson, esteemed faculty member within the Ceramic Engineering Department from 1946 – 1990.

– Interests focus on laser-based additive/subtractive manufacturing of ceramics, empowered by   machine learning.

  • Xiner Lu, from China, advised by Dr. Kai He

– Bachelor’s degree from Southern University of Science and Technology of China

– Interests focus on investigating temperature-dependent microstructural and compositional reconstructions of metallic nanoparticles using in situ TEM
