The Clemson Package Dynamics Lab is certified by the International Safe Transit Association (ISTA). We have been operating for over 25 years and have served over 500 industry clients during that time. With our state-of-the-art facility we go above and beyond to serve industry by testing to ISTA, ASTM, TAPPI and custom test protocols.
Educate the Next Generation
Each fall 40-60 students come through our undergraduate lab – PKSC 4540. They get the opportunity to get hands-on with vibration tables, drop testers, cushion testers and much more. This hands-on experience serves them well when they graduate and are hired into industry roles. We’ve heard countless times how much this lab in particular has helped them when it comes to understanding the distribution environment and testing packaged products.
Facilitate Research to Address Real-World Problems
In the past year the Dynamics Lab has helped carry out three undergraduate projects and two graduate projects. A couple of topics our research centered on were data collection in the LTL environment and packaging solutions for fresh produce in the E-commerce environment.
