Peanut Butter Granola
Granola is a great addition to yogurt, fresh fruit, or ice cream. However, sometimes granola bought from the grocery store can be bogged down with filler ingredients, or sugars that can instantly turn this healthy treat into a blood sugar disaster. This granola recipe, is so simple in its preparation that you will ask yourself why you weren't making homemade granola all along. Full of flavor with peanut butter, maple syrup, cinnamon, and vanilla, this granola has the perfect amount of sweetness and will be the perfect pairing to your favorite breakafast.

- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/3 cup butter melted
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 cups old fashioned oatmeal
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
Preheat your oven to 350 ℉. In a sauce pot over medium heat, melt the peanut butter, maple syrup, butter, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt until a cohesive sauce.
In a large mixing bowl pour your peanut butter mixture over 3 cups of rolled, old-fashioned oats. Mix well.
Line a baking pan with parchement paper. Pour the granola mixture on the pan and spread into an even layer. Place in oven and bake for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, rotate the pan and bake for another 10 minutes. After 20 minutes in the oven, remove the pan and allow the granola to cool completely before breaking into large chunks. Serve over top of yougurt, ice cream, fresh fruit, or in a bowl with milk.
